This sort of Craigslist ad bothers me quite a lot. How can you advertise something that makes (around about) 100hp and weighs less than 500 lbs. as a great starter bike. Maybe for a 250lb Swedish powerlifter named Sven who manhandles full beer kegs as a way to help with waking up.

If someone buys this sort of bike as their first bike and dies, then some of the blame should rest on this guy for endorsing the choice. Yes, this is the tame version of this generation of sportbike, but it is still willing and able to kill you if your lack of ingrained instinct makes you twist the throttle open as you push on the bar to panic steer.

I looked up a 2013 Shelby Mustang GT500 and Wiki says it makes 662bhp for its 3850 lbs. So that means this bike has a better power to weight ratio. It's like handing a 16yr. old (who has never really driven) the keys to a GT500 and saying, "This is the perfect car for you to learn on."

Also, a missing seat is not minor cosmetic damage.

Oh, it's a great first bike for drag racing. The guy's ad wasn't clear. I thought it was for general street use. My mistake.
